Tallinn Stag Do —
The Honest 2025 Guide
Tallinn is one of Europe's best-kept stag do secrets — a UNESCO-listed medieval old town combined with cheap prices and a surprisingly good nightlife scene. A 3-night trip typically costs £220–360 per person excluding flights. The city punches well above its size for value and atmosphere. It is the most underrated destination on the European stag circuit.
The case for Tallinn
Tallinn's UNESCO-listed old town is one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe — a walled city of cobblestone streets, Gothic churches and merchant houses that provides an extraordinary backdrop for a stag weekend. The old town transforms completely at night, with bars, clubs and restaurants spread across medieval cellars and tower rooms.
The price advantage is significant. Tallinn is consistently among Europe's cheapest capitals. A pint costs £2.50–4.00, meals in the old town are £10–20 pp, and group accommodation is very affordable. For the combination of medieval atmosphere, low prices and decent nightlife, it is hard to beat.
